Slaughter revealed that she dated Shaquille O’Neal in 2011—prior to her stint on Love & Hip Hop: Hollywood—in an interview with The Domenick Nati Show.
She informed Nati that once O’Neal told her, “I’m done being a player,” they officially became engaged. I am prepared to become a permanent resident. Before splitting up in 2012 due to accusations of his adultery, they had been together for a year. When Slaughter confronted O’Neal about the chatting, she remembered that he supposedly snapped and ended their relationship. Slaughter had said,
“[Shaq] broke up with me because I was asking too many questions. He doesn’t want to be questioned. He does not like to be cornered,”
“And I’m the type where I’m like, ‘I don’t give a f*ck who you are. If I’m concerned, I’m going to voice this concern, you going to answer it.”
Since then, Moniece Slaughter and Shaquille O’Neal’s friendship has improved
Slaughter claimed that despite their lack of romantic success, she and O’Neal were still able to stay friends even though she claims he cheated on her with Hoopz from Flavor of Love.
“We’re still good friends. We haven’t spoken in a minute just with everything that’s going on in the world…but I do know that if ever really, really needed him, he’d be there,” “I think he and I are also better off as friends.”
